"Then Israel sang this song: 'Spring up, O well!'" Numbers 21:17 NIV
We at HREW with others, had an amazing time at Mow Cop at the Europe’s Wells prayer weekend, led by the Beacon House of Prayer. We worshipped, prayed and prophesied at this powerful revival site each day for three days for God to reopen the wells of revival!
Mow Cop was the site of the beginning of the Primitive Methodist Revival in 1807, where tens of thousands were in attendance and were touched by the God’s Presence.
God has blessed us in Europe with so many renewals and revivals. Some are still alive today, but many are no longer visible. Yet they are still there underground, like a well that has been blocked and covered over. We wanted simultaneous groups to worship and pray at all the major spiritual wells of the past, asking God for the living water to rise up again!
"Isaac re-opened the wells that had been dug in the time of his father Abraham, … and he gave them the same names his father had given them … He moved on from there and dug another well, and no one quarrelled over it. He named it Rehoboth, saying, 'Now the Lord has given us room and we will flourish in the land.'" (Genesis 26:18 & 22, NIV)
