Dig it Out !!
When you hear the word cancer what do you hear? Does cancer appear to you in small print or in capital letters? “He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Psalm 112v7. Has the Word of God been made flesh in you and me? If it has then when we hear the word cancer it won’t appear to us in capital letters! There may be an adjustment period when we need to tune ourselves back into focussing on the Word of God again because fear like a magnifying glass magnifies what the devil has planted in us. That was my experience recently. Because of the work of Holy Spirit in me, cancer didn’t get a foothold because it only appeared to me in small print! By refocusing back onto the Word of God, His Word appeared to me in capital letters! The devil wants his ‘plant’ to grow into his ‘tree!’
We’re told in the Living Bible, 1 Corinthians 3v9 that we’re God’s garden. Beautiful! As beautiful as we are, weeds can crop up in God’s garden. “The enemy who planted the weeds is the devil.” Matthew 13v9. The devil is a planter but so too is God. Isaiah 61v3.
The Word of God makes this very clear to us in Matthew 15v13. “Every plant My Father in heaven did not plant will be uprooted by the roots.” Cancer is a ‘plant’ of the devil. It’s a weed sown in God’s garden! You! The first step to victory is to see cancer for what it really is and when you do you’re seeing cancer exactly as God sees it!
We must see cancer as a ‘plant’ of the devil and deal with that plant in the same vigorous way we’d deal with a rogue plant in our garden. Dig it out! God hasn’t given us a trowel to do that with. He’s given us the sword of the Spirit. He’s given us His Sword Word!
